Overview

The IT Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring that our technology strategies align with our mission and goals. This role involves developing policies, managing risks, and overseeing technology projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across our nonprofit operations. By fostering a culture of accountability and transparency, the IT Governance Manager helps us leverage technology to drive social impact in Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement IT governance frameworks that align with organizational objectives.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  3. Manage IT risk assessments and establish mitigation strategies.
  4. Oversee IT policies and procedures to promote effective resource management.
  5. Facilitate communication between IT and other departments to enhance collaboration.
  6. Monitor and evaluate IT project performance against established goals.
  7. Provide training and support to staff on IT governance best practices.
  8. Conduct regular audits of IT systems to ensure compliance and security.
  9. Report on IT governance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
