ICT Policy Officer

Overview

The ICT Policy Officer is responsible for developing and implementing technology policies that enhance the organization's digital strategy and support its mission. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective use of information and communication technologies, promoting innovation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. By fostering a tech-savvy environment, the officer will help drive social impact initiatives across Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement ICT policies that align with organizational goals.
  2. Conduct research on emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  3. Provide technical support and guidance to staff on ICT tools and systems.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ICT initiatives and policies.
  5. Facilitate training sessions for staff on ICT best practices.
  6. Collaborate with external stakeholders to promote digital literacy.
  7. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  8. Manage ICT budgets and resources effectively.
  9. Assist in the development of digital communication strategies.
