Help Empower Out-of-School Youth and Women Through Tailoring Skills

Across many underserved communities in Uganda, thousands of out-of-school youth and vulnerable women possess the determination to build better lives but lack access to practical vocational training and the equipment needed to develop employable skills.

Tailoring is one of the most accessible pathways to self-employment and financial independence. However, many aspiring learners cannot access quality training because there are not enough sewing machines available for practical instruction.

Shine Care Charity for Unprivileged Uganda is expanding its vocational skills training programme by equipping its tailoring training centre with 100 sewing machines. This will enable more out-of-school youth and vulnerable women to receive hands-on training in tailoring, fashion design, garment construction and entrepreneurship.

Every sewing machine purchased through this campaign will create opportunities for learners to acquire practical skills, earn sustainable incomes, establish small businesses and support their families.

Together, we can empower vulnerable youth and women with the tools, skills and confidence to build brighter, self-reliant futures.

Help Vulnerable Children Learn Computer Skills

Many orphans and vulnerable children in our community have little or no access to computers, yet digital skills are now essential for education, communication, creativity and future employment.

We're raising funds to equip our computer learning centre with 100 more complete desktop computers. This will create a safe and inclusive learning space where vulnerable children and youth can gain practical computer skills, improve their confidence and prepare for future opportunities.

Your donation will help a child learn how to use a computer, access digital knowledge and become part of the modern digital world.

Together, we can bridge the digital divide and give vulnerable children the skills they need to learn, grow and thrive.

Help Bright Parents school’s First Ultimate Frisbee Team Make History

Bright Parents Nursery and Primary School in Kisowera, Mukono District, has been invited to represent Uganda at a Junior Ultimate Frisbee Tournament hosted at Kaimosi University in Kenya. The team consists of 24 talented student athletes under the age of 16, accompanied by 9 teachers and coaches.

For these children, this opportunity is about much more than sports. It is a chance to build confidence, develop leadership skills, experience cultural exchange, and demonstrate that children from rural communities can compete and excel on an international stage.

Many of the participating students have never traveled outside their district, and this tournament presents a life-changing opportunity to broaden their horizons while proudly representing their school, community, and country.

To participate, the team requires support for transportation, accommodation, meals, tournament-related expenses, border-crossing requirements, and essential travel logistics. The project seeks to raise up to USD 4,000 to enable the safe participation of all 33 travelers.

By supporting this initiative, donors will help young people gain valuable life experiences, strengthen teamwork and leadership skills, and inspire hundreds of other students in their community to pursue their dreams beyond geographical and economic limitations.

No Child Hungry: Community Nutrition Support

Hunger remains a daily reality for many vulnerable children and families in underserved communities across Uganda. What began as an emergency response during the COVID-19 pandemic has now become an ongoing need—one that continues to affect orphaned children, low-income households, and elderly individuals who lack consistent access to nutritious food.

The No Child Hungry: Community Nutrition Support Project was established to address this urgent and persistent challenge. Despite support from partners and well-wishers, many beneficiaries still struggle to access basic food staples such as rice, posho, milk, and cooking oil—items essential for daily survival and proper nutrition.

Through this program, Glorious Future Foundation provides structured and consistent food support to children and families in need. This includes direct food distribution, community feeding initiatives, and targeted nutrition support for the most vulnerable groups.

Adequate nutrition is critical for a child’s growth, health, and ability to learn. Without it, children face increased risk of illness, poor academic performance, and long-term developmental challenges. For families, lack of food leads to instability, stress, and difficult survival choices.

This project ensures that vulnerable individuals do not go hungry, while also restoring dignity and hope within the community. With a transparent and accountable approach, 100% of donations go directly toward food support for beneficiaries.

By supporting this initiative, donors play a direct role in fighting hunger, improving health, and strengthening communities—ensuring that no child is left behind due to lack of food.

Clean Water, Healthy Lives Initiative

Access to clean and safe water is essential for life, health, and dignity. However, at Glorious Future Foundation, the current water source—a manual borehole—is outdated and no longer sufficient to meet the growing needs of children, staff, and the surrounding community. Long waiting times, limited output, and physical strain in water collection have made access to clean water increasingly difficult.

The Clean Water, Healthy Lives Initiative seeks to address this urgent need by upgrading the existing borehole or constructing a modern, efficient water system equipped with a pump. This will ensure a reliable and sustainable supply of clean water for all beneficiaries.

Through this project, children under the foundation’s care will have consistent access to safe drinking water, improving hygiene, health, and daily living conditions. Staff and volunteers will also benefit from improved operational efficiency, while the surrounding community will gain access to a dependable water source—reducing the burden of long-distance water collection.

Clean water plays a critical role in preventing waterborne diseases, improving sanitation, and supporting overall wellbeing. For children, access to safe water directly impacts their health, school attendance, and quality of life. For communities, it strengthens resilience and reduces vulnerability.

With a transparent and accountable approach, 100% of donations directed to this project go toward the development and maintenance of the water system. By supporting this initiative, donors contribute directly to saving lives, improving health outcomes, and creating a sustainable solution that benefits both current and future generations.

#Community Care

Safe Homes, Restored Dignity for the Elderly

Across underserved communities in Uganda, many elderly individuals live in conditions of extreme vulnerability—without family support, safe shelter, or basic care. At Glorious Future Foundation, we encounter elderly men and women who sleep on cold floors, in deteriorating structures, or even in church premises due to lack of a safe place to call home. These conditions not only threaten their physical health but also diminish their dignity and sense of belonging.

The Safe Homes, Restored Dignity for the Elderly Project is designed to address this urgent need by providing safe, secure, and dignified living environments for vulnerable seniors. Rooted in compassion and guided by faith, this initiative focuses on both improving existing housing structures and constructing new homes for those without any form of shelter.

Through this project, elderly beneficiaries receive tailored support based on their level of need—ranging from provision of bedding and essential household items to full housing renovations and construction of new safe homes. Each intervention is designed to ensure safety, comfort, and long-term stability.

A safe home is more than just shelter—it restores dignity, promotes health, and provides peace of mind. For elderly individuals who have spent their lives contributing to their communities, this support is a way of honoring their value and ensuring they live their later years in comfort and respect.

With a transparent and accountable approach, 100% of donations directed to this project go toward direct beneficiary support. By contributing, donors play a direct role in restoring dignity, protecting vulnerable seniors, and creating safe spaces where they can live with peace and security.

How Does a Platform Like Little x Little Work Differently?

For too long, aid in Africa has followed a top-down script: Donors in the Global North fund large international organisations, who then trickle down resources to local implementers, often with strings attached and little say from the people most affected.

What Does Results-Driven, Transparent, Accountable Aid Look Like?

For decades, billions of dollars in aid have flowed into Africa. Yet, progress often feels painfully slow. Why? Because much of the aid has been disconnected from impact on the ground. It's time to stop asking how much money is being sent, and instead ask: Who is making decisions? Where is the money going? And what are the real results? This is where a new aid model comes in one that is results-driven, transparent, and accountable to the people it's meant to serve.

Why Nonprofits in the Little by Little Community Need Them

In the nonprofit world, securing funding is often one of the biggest hurdles to achieving your mission. Unfortunately, many nonprofits in the Little by Little community operate under a misconception: they believe that if they simply put up a website, donors will be inspired to contribute. While a well-crafted website is a great tool for sharing your story, it’s far from enough to guarantee donations. To truly engage with donors and funders, nonprofits must understand the power of writing a well-developed project proposal.
