Many orphans and vulnerable children in our community have little or no access to computers, yet digital skills are now essential for education, communication, creativity and future employment.
We're raising funds to equip our computer learning centre with 100 more complete desktop computers. This will create a safe and inclusive learning space where vulnerable children and youth can gain practical computer skills, improve their confidence and prepare for future opportunities.
Your donation will help a child learn how to use a computer, access digital knowledge and become part of the modern digital world.
Together, we can bridge the digital divide and give vulnerable children the skills they need to learn, grow and thrive.
Many children and young people in our community are growing up without access to computers or digital learning opportunities. While technology has become important in schools, workplaces and daily life, vulnerable learners are often left behind because their families cannot afford computers, and local learning facilities are limited.
At Shine Care Charity, many children and youth are eager to learn computer skills, but the organisation lacks sufficient computers to serve them effectively. Learners are forced to share limited devices, wait for short sessions or miss training opportunities altogether.
Without support, many vulnerable children risk being excluded from online learning, digital creativity, future employment and the opportunities that come with computer literacy.
This project will equip Shine Care Charity’s computer learning centre with 100 complete desktop computers to support hands-on digital skills training for orphans, vulnerable children and underserved youth.
The training will help learners gain practical skills in basic computer use, typing, file management, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet use, online research, email communication, online safety and digital creativity.
With enough computers, more children will be able to practice directly, learn faster and build confidence. Qualified trainers and volunteers will guide learners through practical lessons that support school learning, employment readiness, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning.
This project is not only about providing computers. It is about opening doors to education, confidence and opportunity.
A well-equipped computer learning center will become a lasting hub where vulnerable children and youth can learn, practice, innovate and prepare for the future. Children who gain digital skills can perform better in school, access online information, develop creativity and become more prepared for employment or further training.
By supporting this project, donors are helping to build a digitally skilled generation and ensuring that vulnerable children are not left behind in the digital age.
