Overview

The Chief Information Officer leads our technology strategy and data management, ensuring that our systems effectively support our mission to drive social impact in Uganda. This role involves overseeing IT infrastructure, managing digital resources, and fostering innovation to enhance our programs and outreach efforts. The CIO collaborates with teams to leverage technology for greater efficiency and impact in our community initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organization’s information technology strategy.
  • Oversee the management of IT resources, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and solutions.
  • Manage IT budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Supervise IT staff and provide guidance on professional development.
  • Establish partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.
  • Monitor technology trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Report regularly to the executive team and board on IT performance and strategy.
