Overview

The Employee Relations Manager at the organisation plays a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring effective communication between staff and management. This position is responsible for addressing employee concerns, promoting engagement initiatives, and implementing policies that support a harmonious and productive work environment, all while aligning with our nonprofit mission in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular assessments of employee satisfaction and morale through surveys and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate training and development programs focused on employee relations and workplace diversity.
  • Monitor and analyze employee turnover rates, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the onboarding process to ensure new hires feel welcomed and valued from day one.
  • Organize and promote team-building activities and events to enhance employee relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on employee relations metrics and trends for leadership review.
