IT Manager

Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s technology infrastructure, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and securely. This role includes managing IT support, implementing new technologies, and training staff to effectively use digital tools, all aimed at enhancing our mission to drive social impact in Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Manage IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff and volunteers.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain software and hardware systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to assess and fulfill their technology needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
