Overview

The IT Assessment Manager is responsible for evaluating and enhancing our technology systems to ensure they effectively support our mission in Uganda. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize our IT infrastructure, ultimately enabling us to drive greater social impact.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive IT assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses in current systems.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for IT improvements and upgrades.
  3. Collaborate with program teams to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions.
  4. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  5. Provide training and support to staff on new technologies and systems.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT initiatives and report on progress.
  7. Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers.
  8. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to nonprofit organizations.
  9. Prepare detailed documentation and reports on IT assessments and project outcomes.
  10. Support budget planning for IT-related expenses and initiatives.
