Finance Assistant

Overview

The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting our financial operations by managing daily transactions, processing invoices, and assisting with budgeting and reporting. This position ensures that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date, helping us allocate resources effectively to drive social impact in Uganda. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about making a difference through responsible financial management.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  2. Support the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
  3. Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  4. Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements.
  5. Help with financial audits by providing necessary documentation.
  6. Track and report on donor funding and expenditures.
  7. Support the finance team in ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  8. Maintain and organize financial filing systems.
  9. Assist in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
  10. Participate in financial planning and analysis to support strategic goals.
