Overview

The Chief People Officer is responsible for shaping and implementing our people strategy, ensuring a supportive and inclusive work environment for our team. This role involves overseeing talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational culture to drive our mission of social impact in Uganda. By fostering a positive workplace, the Chief People Officer helps empower our staff and volunteers to make a meaningful difference in the community.

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
  2. Oversee talent acquisition, ensuring a diverse and inclusive hiring process.
  3. Design and manage employee training and development programs.
  4. Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
  5. Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance team effectiveness.
  6. Ensure compliance with labor laws and ethical standards in all HR practices.
  7. Manage employee relations and resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
  8. Lead initiatives for employee retention and succession planning.
  9. Analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and improve workforce management.
