Overview

The Chief Human Resource is responsible for leading our people strategy, ensuring that we attract, develop, and retain talented individuals who are passionate about driving social impact in Uganda. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, and organizational culture, while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers our team to thrive.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  2. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes to build a strong workforce.
  3. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations to protect the organization and its employees.
  4. Design and manage employee development programs to enhance skills and career growth.
  5. Facilitate performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.
  6. Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  7. Manage employee relations and address any conflicts or grievances effectively.
  8. Oversee compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  9. Analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making and improve processes.
  10. Collaborate with leadership to align HR initiatives with overall organizational strategy.
