Overview

The Chief Human Resource Officer is responsible for shaping and leading our people strategy to support our mission-driven work in Uganda. This role oversees talent acquisition, employee development, and organizational culture, ensuring we attract and retain passionate individuals dedicated to driving social impact. By fostering a supportive work environment, the CHRO plays a crucial part in empowering our team to achieve our goals and serve our community effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff to build a strong, diverse team.
  • Design and manage performance management systems to encourage staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and best practices in human resources management.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
  • Lead training and development programs to enhance skills and capabilities of staff.
  • Manage employee relations and address any workplace conflicts or concerns.
  • Develop compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain talent.
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
