Overview

The Vice Chairperson plays a vital role in guiding the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the foundation. This position involves supporting the Chairperson during board meetings, acting as a liaison between the board and stakeholders, and participating in fundraising efforts, all while ensuring compliance with governance policies and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Chairperson in overseeing the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the foundation.
2. Support the Chairperson in presiding over board meetings and ensuring adherence to governance policies.
3. Act as a liaison between the board and various stakeholders, including staff, donors, and the community.
4. Help in the development and implementation of the foundation’s goals and objectives.
5. Participate in fundraising efforts and represent the foundation at public events.
6. Provide mentorship and support to board members and staff as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to nonprofit governance.
8. Step in for the Chairperson during their absence and fulfill all associated responsibilities.
