Overview

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our staff, volunteers, and assets. This role involves monitoring facilities, implementing safety protocols, and responding to incidents to create a secure environment for all who contribute to our mission in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol the organization's premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid when necessary.
  • Maintain security logs and reports on daily activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training staff and volunteers on safety protocols.
  • Report suspicious activities and security breaches to management.
  • Participate in security drills and preparedness planning.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to visitors and staff.
