Overview

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network systems to support our nonprofit operations in Uganda. This role ensures reliable connectivity for our team, enabling seamless communication and collaboration as we drive social impact in the community. With a focus on optimizing network performance, the Network Engineer plays a crucial part in empowering our mission and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support organizational operations.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems.
  • Ensure network security by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on network-related issues.
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to network engineering.
  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for network enhancements.
