Overview

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Officer at the organisation is responsible for developing and maintaining our data management systems to enhance operational efficiency and support decision-making. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to ensure our programs effectively drive social impact in Uganda and beyond. The MIS Officer will also collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and improve information flow across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the organization's Management Information System (MIS) to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on program data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Train staff on MIS usage and data management best practices to enhance overall data literacy.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with program teams to identify data needs and improve data collection methods.
  • Conduct regular system audits to assess functionality and implement necessary upgrades.
  • Support the integration of new technologies to enhance the MIS capabilities.
  • Prepare and present MIS reports to stakeholders to demonstrate organizational impact and progress.
  • Act as a liaison between IT support and program staff to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
