IT Infrastructure Officer

Overview

The IT Infrastructure Officer is responsible for managing and optimizing our technology systems to ensure smooth operations. This role involves overseeing network security, maintaining hardware and software, and providing technical support to staff and volunteers, all aimed at enhancing our mission of driving social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of data through regular backups and security protocols.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff and volunteers on IT systems and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and update IT policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for IT services and equipment procurement.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects to support organizational goals.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to current systems.
