Overview

The Compliance Manager ensures that all organizational activities align with legal standards and internal policies, promoting transparency and accountability. This role involves monitoring compliance practices, conducting audits, and providing guidance to staff, ultimately supporting our mission to drive social impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect organizational operations.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to the board and relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Investigate compliance violations and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance tracking system to ensure timely follow-up on compliance issues.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning to align compliance initiatives with organizational goals.
