Chairman

Overview

The Chairman leads the board in guiding the organisation’s mission and strategy, ensuring alignment with our values and goals. This role involves overseeing board meetings, fostering collaboration among members, and representing the organisation to stakeholders and the community. The Chairman plays a crucial part in driving impactful social initiatives in Uganda and supporting the non profit’s growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic leadership and vision for the organization.
  2. Preside over board meetings and ensure effective governance.
  3. Facilitate communication between board members and executive staff.
  4. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  5. Support fundraising efforts and engage with donors.
  6. Act as a spokesperson for the organization in public forums.
  7. Oversee the development and implementation of organizational policies.
  8. Evaluate the performance of the executive director and board members.
  9. Foster a collaborative and inclusive board culture.
