Overview

The Board Secretary in the organisation plays a crucial role in ensuring effective governance by managing board meetings, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating communication between board members and staff. This position helps uphold transparency and accountability, supporting the organization's mission to drive social impact in Uganda. Additionally, the Board Secretary assists in organizing strategic planning and compliance efforts to enhance overall operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate recording of board meeting minutes and decisions.
  • Maintain and organize official board documents and records.
  • Coordinate board meeting schedules and logistics.
  • Facilitate communication between board members and staff.
  • Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in preparing board agendas and reports.
  • Support the onboarding process for new board members.
  • Manage board member contact information and terms.
  • Provide administrative support to the board chair and other officers.
