Overview

The Procurement Finance Officer at the organisation is responsible for managing financial processes related to procurement, ensuring that all purchases align with budgetary guidelines and organizational goals. This role involves overseeing contracts, monitoring expenses, and collaborating with various teams to optimize resource allocation in support of our mission in Uganda. The officer plays a crucial part in maintaining transparency and accountability in our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage procurement processes in accordance with organizational policies and guidelines.
  2. Coordinate with program teams to identify procurement needs and develop specifications.
  3. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  4. Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs) and invitations to bid.
  5. Evaluate supplier bids and proposals, ensuring transparency and fairness in selection.
  6. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  7. Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  8. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and financial transactions.
  9. Prepare reports on procurement activities and expenditures for management review.
  10. Support financial planning by providing insights on procurement-related costs and budgeting.
