Overview

The Procurement Assistant at Little x Little plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's sourcing and purchasing activities. This position involves coordinating with vendors, managing inventory, and ensuring that supplies are procured efficiently to strengthen our programs and impact in Uganda. Through careful attention to detail and a commitment to transparency, the Procurement Assistant helps us fulfill our mission effectively.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services needed for programs and operations.
  2. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor information.
  3. Support the procurement team in evaluating supplier proposals and negotiating contracts.
  4. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations in all procurement activities.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management.
  6. Coordinate with various departments to identify procurement needs and timelines.
  7. Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyzing purchasing data.
  8. Help maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  9. Participate in supplier performance evaluations and support improvement initiatives.
  10. Provide administrative support to the procurement team as needed.
