Overview

The Procurement and Administration Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of resources. This position involves overseeing procurement processes, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the overall operational needs of the organization to enhance our impact in Uganda.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts for best value.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and timelines.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels for operational efficiency.
  • Support administrative tasks, including office management and logistical arrangements for events.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with vendors and service providers to enhance service delivery.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for procurement-related expenses.
  • Participate in capacity-building initiatives for staff on procurement best practices.
