Overview

The IT and Media Officer plays a vital role in managing our digital infrastructure and media presence to enhance our outreach and impact. This position involves overseeing technology solutions, supporting communications, and creating engaging content that resonates with our community and stakeholders. By ensuring our online platforms run smoothly, the officer helps amplify our mission and connect with supporters in Uganda and beyond.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain the organization\\'s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
  2. Develop and implement media strategies to enhance visibility and engagement.
  3. Create and curate digital content for social media, website, and newsletters.
  4. Provide technical support for staff and volunteers on IT-related issues.
  5. Monitor and analyze digital metrics to assess the effectiveness of media campaigns.
  6. Coordinate the production of multimedia materials, including videos and graphics.
  7. Ensure data security and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
  8. Facilitate training sessions for staff on IT tools and media best practices.
  9. Collaborate with other teams to support organizational initiatives through technology.
  10. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in nonprofit media strategies.
