Overview

The Back-End Developer at the organisation will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our nonprofit platform, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience. This position involves designing server-side logic, managing databases, and integrating APIs to support our mission of driving social impact in Uganda and beyond. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our team to create innovative solutions that empower our community supporters and enhance engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications.
  • Implement and manage databases to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Develop and maintain APIs for external and internal applications.
  • Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure reliability.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Participate in project planning and contribute to technical specifications.
