Director of Finance

Overview

The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial operations. This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic planning to support our mission of driving social impact in Uganda. The Director will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to align financial strategies with our goals and ensure sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with local regulations and financial policies.
  3. Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.
  4. Manage cash flow and investment strategies to ensure financial stability.
  5. Prepare detailed financial reports for the board of directors and stakeholders.
  6. Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
  7. Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development.
  8. Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements as needed.
  9. Engage with donors and partners to communicate financial health and sustainability.
  10. Support fundraising initiatives by providing financial insights and projections.
