Overview

The Social Media Manager is responsible for crafting and executing engaging content across our social media platforms to amplify our mission and connect with our community. This role involves developing strategies to grow our online presence, fostering relationships with supporters, and highlighting the impactful stories of our programs in Uganda. By leveraging creativity and analytics, the Social Media Manager plays a crucial role in driving awareness and support for our initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  2. Create, curate, and manage published content across various social media platforms.
  3. Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and insights to inform content strategy.
  4. Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster community interaction.
  5. Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with broader organizational goals.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative content delivery.
  8. Organize and oversee social media campaigns, including promotions and fundraising initiatives.
  9. Train and support staff and volunteers in effective social media use and best practices.
