Overview

The IT Technical Adviser at the organisation is responsible for providing expert guidance on technology solutions that enhance our nonprofit operations. This role involves assessing our current IT infrastructure, recommending improvements, and ensuring that our digital tools effectively support our mission to drive social impact in Uganda. By leveraging technology, the adviser will help streamline processes and enhance communication within the organization and with our stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and advice on IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Assess and recommend technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with staff to understand their IT needs and challenges.
  • Oversee the implementation of new software and hardware systems.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Train staff on IT tools and best practices.
  • Assist in budgeting and planning for IT expenditures.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to the nonprofit sector.
  • Document IT processes and create user manuals for staff reference.
