Growing up in Africa, I have seen firsthand the challenges that our communities face. There is a pervasive mentality that we, as Africans, are poor, do not collaborate, and do not support each other. This mindset has held us back, preventing development ideas from taking root and flourishing. It is a mentality that stifles growth and innovation, and it has had a particularly devastating impact on nonprofit organizations in Uganda.
