Project Submission Guidelines
Little X Little is committed to empowering nonprofits by providing a platform to showcase their impactful projects. These guidelines will help ensure your project submission meets our requirements and is ready for review.
1. General Requirements
To maintain the quality and integrity of projects on our platform, all submissions must adhere to these general guidelines:
- Nonprofit Status: The submitting organization must be a verified nonprofit.
- Relevance: Projects should align with the organization's mission and address a tangible community need.
- Clarity: Provide clear, concise, and detailed descriptions.
- Impact: Projects must highlight measurable outcomes.
2. Project Submission Timeline
Organizations can submit project proposals between March and August each year. Confirmed projects will be invited in November to undergo our vetting process.
2.1. Key Dates:
- March 1st: Submissions Open
- August 31st: Submissions Close
- November: Invitations and Vetting Begin
3. Submission Components
3.1. A. Project Title
- Keep it brief and compelling (50 characters max).
- Should reflect the core purpose of the project (e.g., "Providing Clean Water to Rural Villages").
3.2. B. Summary (300-500 Words)
Should provide an overview of:
- The problem you aim to address
- Your proposed solution
- Expected outcomes
Example Summary: "This project aims to construct a water well in Kamuli District, Uganda, addressing the lack of access to clean and safe water. With community participation, we expect to improve the health and quality of life for over 1,000 residents."
3.3. C. Challenge Statement
Elaborate on the problem your project seeks to solve:
- Provide data or evidence that supports the need for your project.
- Discuss the impact of the problem on the targeted population.
3.4. D. Proposed Solution
Describe your plan to address the challenge:
- Define actionable steps.
- Highlight the uniqueness and feasibility of your approach.
3.5. E. Long-Term Impact
Explain how the project will:
- Provide lasting benefits to the community.
- Align with the organization's mission and sustainability goals.
3.6. F. Budget and Financial Plan
- Break down the estimated costs of the project.
- Indicate how funds will be utilized responsibly.
3.7. G. Supporting Materials
Upload any relevant documentation, such as:
- Project Budget or
- Project Document in PDF or Case Studies
- Images or videos showcasing your work
4. Guidelines for Writing Effective Submissions
- Be Specific: Avoid vague descriptions. Clearly state your goals and methods.
- Use Data: Incorporate statistics or research to support your claims.
- Stay Professional: Use formal language and proper grammar.
- Engage Emotionally: Share stories that illustrate the importance of your work.
5. Review and Approval Process
5.1. Screening
After submission, your project undergoes an initial screening:
- Validation of nonprofit status
- Confirmation of alignment with our mission
5.2. Vetting Process
Shortlisted organizations will receive an invitation to:
- Submit additional documentation (e.g., financial reports, legal registration).
- Participate in an interview or review session.
5.3. Approval
Once vetted, approved projects will:
- Appear on our platform for fundraising
- Receive guidance on creating impactful campaigns
